Ceramic Christmas Tree Decorations

A festive, beginner-friendly session making your own ceramic Christmas tree decoration, using a template to guide the shape.

You'll learn slab building, slip and scoring, and carving, then introduce basic underglaze and glaze decoration to finish.

Once it's dried, fired and glazed, it'll be ready for you to collect in time for decoating the house this December.

Pottery Class Information

• Your piece needs 3 to 4 weeks to dry and fire before it's ready to collect. Can't make it back in person? We can post it to you (postage charged separately), though we can't take responsibility for breakages in transit.

  
  

• We'll hold finished pieces for 2 months after we let you know they're ready. After that, studio space just won't stretch any further, sorry!

  
  

• Come with short nails and hair tied back if you can. It makes handbuilding easier. Wear something you don't mind getting a bit messy. Aprons are provided, but bring your own if you'd rather

• Sometimes pieces don't survive the kiln. Such is the life of a potter! I can't take responsibility for cracks or losses during firing, but I'll always let you know if it happens to yours.

  
  

• Workshops will have a maximum group number of 5 persons

  
  

• The minimum age for joining a workshop is 16 (12 when booked with a parent)

  
  

• Refreshments are included. Just flag any dietary requirements or allergies when you book.
